Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Petersen Museum

The Peterson Museum has a vintage trailer exhibit going with trailers from the 20's - 40's. Due to space limits there are only about 10 trailers in the main display area. The earliest aluminum Airstream is on display in the lobby. I believe there were a couple in the driveway out front but we did not see them until we were leaving.
One of the trailers is the "Mystery Trailer" featured in one of the threads here in May '07.

It is an interesting exhibit. Even though we were not museum members we were able to join in a "Museum Members Tour". My friend called ahead and made reservations but it not a problem at all. This tour was at 7:30PM and the parking in the building was free then and my Senior discount cost only $5. :D
They hoisted the trailers up via crane to the upper level and had to cut the entry doors to expand another 2 ft higher to get them inside.

They had a post war exhibit a couple years ago but this one is limited to pre-war years.

If you are in the Westwood area of LA it is well worth a visit.

Quite by accident I found a flickr site with most of the Petersen exhibit trailers http://www.flickr.com/photos/25213831@N02/

The Mystery Trailer gets only a rear shot.
