12-Step program for tear builders

I feel so much better now that I've made it through my first 24 hours........without changing my mind on how I want to build my trailer! I think I'm actually going to "make it" now. Don't know what I'd have done without all the support from all the comments and suggestions from the group. Now all I have to do is come up with the money to get started. Anyone willing to share with me the exact spot in the backyard where you buried your money can?

Money cans can be alot of things..my girl friend is my money can & actually kept the bucks in a can...I started the POD w/650.00 bucks...saved a little at a time..All the windows were 20 bucks. Yard sales,most of the hard ware etc. gathered parts & wood throughout the winter.So far im over budget about 65 bucks...including the trailer.. So im into the pod & trailer around 650.00 bucks + 65 for the diamond plate we didn't count on.So have faith,take your time,your can is there! Oh yes forgot one thing...The inside isn't finished,+ a small galley isn't also...so parts of my can are still missing also..But the pod is being used lots...over 500 mi on it allready...& at least 10 night's on a comfortable matress...Everywhere I go it draws attention.I just tell them about this great forum...GOOD LUCK on your build..vinoscooter

Thanks, Vinoscooter. I'm finishing up an expensive desk for a client (I've been working on the darned thing since January!) and should have a LARGE influx of the green stuff soon. I'll start on my trailer when that happens. I'm really looking forward to getting "out there". I've backpacked most of my adult life and love the outdoors, but at my age a tent is no longer my friend! My girlfriend and I have tried some tent camping, but the general consensus is "loved the trip..........but do we have to camp in a tent again?" So a tear is for me........er...........us!

I found building a teardrop more of a twelve pack program. Now considering a third build and have plans for a fourth on paper. I am going to have to invest in a Kegerator our some how have it delivered to my shop . A walk in cooler might be in order , another project between teardrop builds . Hey a idea! A kegerator teardrop, kills two birds with one stone. Well off to Home Depot to get the material

Okay Woody, but please don't operate any power equipment with sharp edges after your trip to the Kegerator.

The only time I am around sharp edges, is having a beer or three, is the bottle caps. Primarily I have a beer or three while watching the varnish dry or glue setup it can be boring. So to kill some time watching stuff dry, tip a cold one as a reward , of course after 20 coats some might say I might be drinking too much. Maybe I could get Budwieser to sponsor my next tear. Heck all the accidents I 've read about here have been nonalcohol related supposively or so the story goes.

Yes, it is boring to watch glue or finish dry. I build custom furniture for a living and have watched several hundred gallons of glue and finish dry. Never thought of relaxing and having a beer though! I've too much to do around my place. Pastures need mowing, fences mending, llamas fed, tractor worked on, etc., etc., etc.................and then, of course, I MUST tend to my computer and this website!
