Yep, you better post some pictures before Aunti M. gives you a spanking. It's kinda a requirement around here.

My good fortune. My advice. Always check locally first

Postby evilme28 » Wed Sep 03, 2008 10:54 am

Yestarday I found a pair of stableizeing jacks at joes (formerly known as GI Joes) unlabled on the shelf. They were not in a box and there was no price, so I wandered around untill I found a sales attendant to ask about them. He didnt know what to make of them so he tried looking them up in their computer. Couldnt find them there either. So he filled out a slip and sold them to me for 24 dollars for the pair. I've since looked on line and havent seen them for sale for less than $57 per pair and that was before the shipping and handleing. Score one for me!!!! I still need one more pair to lift the whole thing off the ground. Another score like that is probably to much to hope for. Between little things like that, the local steal yard haveing the trim I needed (even T molding), and the Bring Recycle Center haveing 3 brand new trailer windows, I have saved a fortune so far.

Hi Tom, Good Score!

I kept putting off buying the jacks on my build. And now all I use is a jack stand under the tongue when I go camping. I usually camp in a paved site and never notice the TD being un-level. If I were you, I'd try the jacks on just the rear with a jack stand on the front. See how it works out. Maybe you wont need 2 more on the front. :)
