Help with Google Earth

Postby Creamcracker » Mon Sep 08, 2008 3:11 pm

A couple of weeks ago someone posted a link to download KOA campsites as a module to Google Earth. I did that, didn't like it and then removed that module. Since then I can see nothing on Google earth. I just have a black background with some yellow lines showing up now and then. I even removed Google earth and then reloaded it but still the same. I have tried different combinations with the features/layers etc but nothing seems to make any difference! Any suggestions anyone?

Uninstall it from your program list. Then reboot the computer and reinstall the program. Should work fine after that.

Mine did the same thing and that was my fix.

should be as simple as uninstalling, removing GE directories and registry entries and a reboot before reinstalling. I dont want to go into a lot of detail on the registry entry deleting. You can cause some serious damage if you dont understand the registry.

Is the program gone from your 'add/remove' list? If not, you could try to find a copy of the JV16 Power tools and remove it with that. It will let you clean out the registry too.

Nope none of those, I had to go into options and then change one of them to TOOLS>OPTIONS>GRAPHIC>DIRECT X that took care of it ....looks like somehow when I downloaded the KOA module it reset the graphics mode....anyway it's fixed now.
