Excellent site.....they have a builder's forum there as good as this one. I bought the plans for my sailing sharpie there. They're still using my boat as the poster child for that model

I can haul mine both ways. Either on top of the tear or on a trailer. I prefer the trailer because they are alot easier to get off and I can store all of my gear in the box's.
I have a Cobra fishndive and you can put a trolling motor on it, although I never have. Awesome way to fish and you can get back in the skinny water that most power boats can't.

Building boats is one thing I know how to do

. I've had the pleasure of building many types of boats from fiberglass kayaks to a wooden ketch that has been around the world. I had thought of building a wood dory or a sharpie but was wondering what the plastic kayaks are like or the personal pontoon boats. One does seem to see a lot of them around nowadays. Ya'll have given me a lot to think on :cry:

. But I still am going to have to make up my mind. I like the thought of just buying a boat to car top but.... You get the same boat everyone else has and no pride in the construction. But you save time and money that way (the money is dependent on how you build).
There are some really nice boats here and I like the trailer setup for the two kayaks. I need to check the state laws on towing double trailers here in Oklahoma and the surrounding states. I have a CDL with the proper endorsements that may help.
