Website Banner question

Postby Classic Finn » Sat Oct 18, 2008 8:40 am

Does anyone here on the forum know how to make Website Banners using the Flash Technique?

Please let me know.

My wish is for a scenic banner that changes a bit.
Thanks

Hmmm.... well I believe it depends upon the web software you're using..

If, say, on this site or other "Forum" software driven your best bet would be to check on thier forums. I believe each one is a little different, but someone usually has the "code" to put into the banner field and then you either link to the folder or list the photos you want switch.

Flash, which is geared to Adobe and if using Dreamweaver or Go-live you should find the Flash option and then you have to manually Insert the Flash and list the photos or link to a .swf file created earlier with the photos you wanted.

In either case, search/ask as the software forum boards. Sometimes it's not easy to find, and some software may not have it available. But it basically is an "Insert >photo >Random/flash or whatever they call it.

Your software forum is the best bet if you can't find it in the software manual.. heheh... good luck on that one...

Hope that helps..

Heikki,

If all you want is a slideshow type effect, you probably won't need Flash. Animated GIFs will work for that just fine. Photoshop has an animation palette that will let you make those very easily. Of course Flash will let you make them as well. It's just the Flash has a little steeper learning curve.

Yes indeed that all I want. I just dont have the photoshop program or any other at the moment. Due to my crashing of the computer months back. Ugh.

Is there any downloads for that by chance on the internet?
