FUN With words

Got this today in an Email Take a try and see how you do:

ALZHEIMERS' EYE TEST

Count every ' F ' in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RESULT
OF YEARS OF SCIENTIFIC STUDY
WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...
(SEE BELOW)

how many ? Wrong, there are 6 -- no joke. Read it again ! Really, go back and try to find the 6 f's before you scroll down.

The reasoning behind is further down.

The brain cannot process 'of'. Incredible or what? Go back and look again!! Anyone who counts all 6 'f's' on the first go is a genius. Three is normal, four is quite rare.

Olny srmat poelpe can raed this.

I guess I can process "of" because I counted the "F" in them.

Only got 3 of them. Missed the "of's" completely. But I can read the paragraph at the bottom with no problem.

Sherrie....I feel for you. I think it's unfortunate that today a lot of kids don't see the value in being able to communicate intelligently, whether written or verbally. But with all their necessary "texting" of the important events of the day to each other, I can see where they don't have time for it all. I think they are missing out on a lot of important info besides communicative skills...like, don't go into a potential place of employment dragging a bunch of your friends with you and for god's sake, put on some shoes and don't dress like a hooker! "Golly, I wonder why I can't get a job." Some are clueless! Oh well, the world needs fast food workers too! Just what I've experienced as a business owner.

None of this matters however. I only got 3..... Doug

Place me in the "genius" category. An Aussie in that category has to be one of the scariest things around

I got them all and am at least smart enough to question that particular conclusion.

Ah, I just knew there weren't 6 Fs. I had to re-count about 6 times.......duh!
I agree with you Doug, and I remember one time when a young guy cracked open the door to my field construction office and asked, as he shook his head......"You don't need any help, do you?" I asked him in and inquired if he was going to go home and tell his Mom he was looking for job. He agreed that he was. I tried to clue him in on proper employment proceedures but I'm sure it fell on deaf ears.......I am shocked they don't teach such things in school, I know they didn't 60 years ago either.
