I hope the therapy helps.

Unfortunately, no conventional treatment will cure your problem. Just tell your wife she will have to learn to deal with it.

len,

I have conducted a court hearing for the crime of alcohol abuse in the 2nd degree in which you were found guilty. We could not find you guilty in the first degree because some thought that it was the partially the beers fault.

Your punishment is that for the next 6 months you and your beer must wear monitors so that if you are more than arms length away from each other a alarm will trigger. With good behavior your sentenced could be reduced. If you ever darken this courtroom again we will be forced to remove your drinking privileges and put you in our recovery center for alcohol abusers.

New Years day I had decided to do something different for the "you must eat Pork New Years Day" tradition.

Well, that's the problem right there. Everybody knows that you have to eat black-eyed peas on New Years Day.
