BUT.
If the unit in question is 5000btu unit, which is the "standard" under a 100bucks unit then then generator in question is questionable for powering the AC...it would probably have enough output for running the AC but not for starting it, surge at start up of AC compressor will double the normal amperage(as high as 10+ amps)
You would need a 1500/2000 watt generator to reliably power a standard 5000/5200btu AC unit
