We had one, a three door coupe or something. It belonged to my wife's mother and we inherited it.

Cute little car, decent size, and drove alright, but at 75,000 miles it needed it's 3rd transmission and I gave it away.

Talk to me if you want to talk pintos :)

I raced them for a few years and won the points championship my rookie season. 100% build from scratch by me. My dad and I had matching cars for 2 seasons. I raced circle track for a while as a hobby until it got too expensive. I raced 3 different pintos, a grand fury, and a huge 4 door mercury something from the early 70's plus a couple demo derbys...

We had several of the Pintos in the late 80s. The most memorable and fun was the 80 hatchback that I modified with a V-6 out of a Mercury Bobcat wagon.( a Pinto wagon in Mercury badging) For a basicly stock vehicle, it would go pretty good. Made a few

Guess what? I had two of them. I recall a trip over route 68 in Maryland and the Pinto was not in very good condition but ran and driving over Savage Mtn. the air was a little chilly and the floor boards had holes in it and to eliminate the breeze coming up under neath me, we had to stuff socks in the floor.
Long time researching the abandoned South Pennsylvania Railroad along the Pennsylvania Turnpike. God will guide me. As he has done so in the past. southpennrailroad.com
