Cellphone help......

Postby dreadcptflint » Sun Sep 06, 2009 10:59 am

My old cellphone is dieing after years of service. I also have a new job were I am doing Project management and would like to move to a smart phone. I would like something that would synch with my outlook with out the extreme cost of $30 a month that Verizon is wanting to charge me for two years. Any good suggestions?

$30 a month? Does that include the service?

Nope that is in addition to the $70-$80 a month that we regularly pay for.

I just got the HTC Ozone from Verizon. For several years I have used a Palm Treo 700w and part of my criteria was the ability to sync Outlook.
I do not sync my email but keep all my contacts and appointments on my phone.
Any phone with Microsoft Mobile OS will allow you to sync your contacts and calander in Outlook.
THe phone was only $50 with the contract. I do not use the phone for internet access or text messaging. There is no added cost for the sync capabilities.
So far the phone is OK... any change is not OK but it doesn't seem too painful.
One drawback for me is that I have to use an adapter for a wired headset I do not like the quality of bluetooth sets. Of course maybe if I got one that wasn't 5 years old it might be better.
