This is the message that a High School in Queensland, Australia staff voted unanimously to record on their school telephone answering machine . This is the actual answering machine message...or so they say...
It is something going around...real or not... it is very good!

Rob, there's a good little service provided by Snopes that you can use to check this sort of stuff. Have a look here:

Funnily enough that rumour originated from California. ;)

Cheers
Paul

PS For those not interested in checking, the story is another American propoganda promotion :R

that was so true....local schools should addapt that msg. I ran a karting track for the last 4 1/2 years and you'd be amased how many times I heard "my child would never try to run over your staff".

I actually showed a woman what her son had done and she said that I was messing with the video.

I'd never be a teacher and I'd thank anyone if they are....thanks for helping our kids but in all honesty it's the parents that need help and teachings.

Paul,

Just humorous payback for Australian's calling American's "Seppo"

Both examples are slanderous in my opinion. 8)

Paul,

Thanks!

I use it to check "stories" often.

I didn't really think this one was real...but did kind of secretly hope it was ;)

It may be little off, and perhaps demeaning to some groups in a small way, but the general message/concept of responsibility was worth sharing, inhmo.

As a teacher, I am tempted to put this recording on my phone at work. It is so true.

Ha ha. Thanks for the link.

Exactly, it is full of truth and common sense responses but would not be possible these days because it is not politically correct. When did the truth become unmentionable just because it might hurt someone's feelings anyway? Now that everyone is so all fired politically correct these days, nobody knows what anybody really thinks anymore. But I reckon they are all happy since everybody agrees with what they all pretend to believe.

As a 60 year old, white, straight, gun owning, beer drinking, Veteran, Baptist, American male it is probably politically incorrect to be me. DILLIGAF!!

i love it! that's perfect for my voice mail at my high school! working in the counseling office i hear all the excuses parents make for their kids. part of our problem in this world is the lack of accountability... and to h*ll with political correctness
