Oh great Computer Gurus help me!

A while back I was having trouble downloading my credit card data from Discover. Tried working with a technician with them and got things fixed except now when I go on a forum I always have to log in.

I didn't have to do that before after checking the box for logging me in automatically. My laptop allows me to automatically log in so I looked at all the setting on it and they seem to be the same as for this desktop computer..............? What am I missing?

Can anyone help?

Two things that I can think of, check your browser settings to allow cookies. Also, if you have a firewall set up it might be blocking access to the cookies.

I have a similar problem when I use the same browser to log into more than one forum, and save the settings.

You might try clearing all your history, and cookies, and then next time you log in here, check the box that says, "save your password".

Arrrgggg, Clearing the history is where my trouble started. I've checked my settings again and again and it says that I accept cookies. I've checked the box for automatically logging in. I've done a side by side comparrison of my settings between the lap top and desk top and they seem the same, and yet I still have to log in on the desktop.

Annoying on forums but a real pain in the butt when I try to get my banking done. Lots of hoops to jump through there.
