I need a good thermos

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

the thing to remember about a thermos(any brand) is that they are a vacuum bottle. They hold heat in by vacuum. As the liquid trys to release it's heat(remember that things expand when they heat and contrct when they cool) a vacuum is formed keeping everything in,including the heat.If the stopper is not vacuum tight it will lose heat.

I just did a test on a LL bean thermos. I preheated then put in my tea. That was at 4:30am I then went fishing for the day the temp was 32 to 47 degrees that day when I got home that evening around 7:00pm I pored out what was left of the tea and it was still steaming hot! I would check that one out.-Wayne
