So...I have a Murray "sit and ride" mower and I'm thinking I should make a snowbalde to put onto the front>. Anyone ever made a snow blade for their mower? And if so..how did it work? ....Pics?

The problem here is that you run out of room to "push" the snow. At some point you need a big blade, or a snowblower to toss it over the berm...

And you'll probably be needing chains for those rear tires or that tractor won't be going anywhere.

I have a 3 point pto driven 5' snow blower that I used on my tractor when I lived in the mountains that I would like to sell. Might be a bit large for a lawntractor but with all this global warming it could come in handy.

That blade was on sale earlier this year. I almost bought it but something was nagging at me so I did some more investigation. Apparently, the most expensive one (the one at the bottom for $429) is the one that fits my tractor.

Already got one notice from the city for not clearing my sidewalk within 24hrs of the snowfall.

Go to some of the local repair shops in your area. Chances are prety good they could find a used one for you.
If you are good with welding you should be able to come up with something. Go to Sears with your phone and take a few pics for reference.

Hi Creamcracker,
Here is a photo of our Arctic Cat Prowler plowing our driveway. After a bit of welding, I fit a "Swisher" snowplow blade on the front. The blade is originally designed to fit on a quad but works very well on our Cat. They are available at most farm & garden stores, Cabellas, etc.

We don't get a lot of snow around here so a blade wouldn't be feasible. Maybe a grill on a mower would though
