TV via the internet

Postby Arne » Tue Jan 12, 2010 11:18 am

one thing leads to another. A friend said the international sheep dog trials would be televised on RFD-TV. It it a channel aimed at rural folks, like farmers and horse people. I don't get it on comcast.

One thing lead to another, via google, and I found I it is available over the internet... but there are a lot of urls for downloading software...

Has anyone done this, viewed tv over the net, and if so, what do you use and why did you pick that download?

Thanks for any comments.

Arne, on RFD-TV's website I haven't found anywhere to download anything. Do you have the link/url?

There are a number of video formats, and the type of viewer software you need will depend on the format that the material has been released in. There is also streaming video, which requires no downloads, YouTube is a good example.
