My old Toyota Art Car - 1990 (?)

Postby Alfred » Thu Jan 14, 2010 8:09 am

OK, here from the vault of circa 1990 or so, college years with my famous 1978 Toyota Tiger/Triangle Art car...Difficult to tell from this picture but the tiger triangles were all over the car - Front, sides, back...

Still the best car I ever owned...The misspent years of my youth...

4 minute video of our build - A 5x8 Camper for a family of 5 - http://youtu.be/CYGTlkfpIhY
How we built a 5x8 camper for a family of 5, using a utility trailer with an incorporated bunk bed for the kids.
From plain trailer to campground!

Love it... especially the high heel.

The McDonald's car on page 10 is excellent!

I especially like the new fad of putting a sticker on the side of your car to let everyone know what size wheels you purchased for your lovely ride, just in case they can't see them rubbing the wheel-wells!

Back in the day I put an "Edelbrock" sticker on my old hot rod. That way, if people couldn't witness first-hand the power of the 'Ol family Dodge they would still know..."hey, that guy's got an Edelbrock manifold, don't mess with him!"

I'm sure the ladies really thought I was cool, too...

I like the VW trike. I had that almost same idea last summer when I meet a member fellow of a Corvair forum that triked a Corvair. Seemed like the bug would be a good starting point but I'd loose the roof.
I was surprised to see the AMC Pacer with the ham burger nose. It is parked about a mile from me.
