Heritage Dr Pepper

I'm sitting here drinking one of those Heritage Dr Pepper, just like Throwback Pepsi it is made with cane sugar instead of High Fructose Corn Syrup. I guess my tastebuds have become accustomed to HFC because I'm not crazy about how this Dr Pepper tastes.

This one is supposedly still made to the original recipe, but only in Dublin Texas and has been around continuously from what I understand. It is common on the shelves here in Kerrville and I do prefer it to the one without sugar. I haven't tried the Heritage Dr Pepper though.

Dublin Dr. Pepper has been available at most Kroger stores around here for a few years. It is made with Imperial Cane Sugar, and comes in six packs of bottles.

I like it, but still buy Dr. K instead (Kroger Store Brand -- $3.99 a case).

I used to play music with a guy from Mississippi who would eat Moon Pies and Dr. Pepper at gigs. He wanted RC Cola, but couldn't find it this far north.

I can get R/C cola at Fred Meyers, Safeway, Albertsons and QFC here in Washington.

The one for me that is hard to find is Hires Rootbeer.

Ah, Dublin DP. I don't drink much in the way of sodas but when I do it's DP. And the Dublin DP tastes the best to me. Also, the Dr Pepper snapple corporate headquarters are just down the street! Pass it every day on the way to work

He also passes JC Penny's corporate headquarters on the same road, so he can get some bigger pants to go with the Cheetoes and Dr. Pepper.
