New View of the Sun

Postby alffink » Thu Apr 22, 2010 2:07 pm

OK those who have camped around me, know I never go out without at least one telescope and usually two, one for at night and one for viewing the sun, well I wish I had one of the these, but my budget is short by at least a billion $$$$, maybe more. But check in at Space Weather;

And check out the images and videos, from the new Solar Dynamics Observatory. Even to experienced solar observers these are amazing.

I usually put on a pair of these

and just look at the sun for hours on end. No need to spend a lot of money.

That is cool Al and thanks for bringing your scopes. I got to see through them at Cabela's Glendale, AZ and Lake Perris, CA
