AZ, how bad is it?

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Ok then thanks for answering that for me. Here in Maine we hear about this and wonder why? We figure that not being in 'your' shoes there has to be more than meets the eye. So, the Governor of Arizona wants authorities to have the right to ask aliens to produce proof of access to the states, they want toe feds to make do something about it, but they downplay the real cause which is the people of Arizona who are supporting this still want their pools cleaned cheaply by illegals.

It seems that the people of these states are asking for something they actually don't want to happen. Even fighting for something they want to happen but secretly hope it doesn't happen. It's so hard to understand from 3000 miles away.

Get rid of the source of the problem. Hiring illegals and you solve much of the problem.

You have the basics down.

The Governor of Arizona didn't "want" the new law, but had no choice. Sign it, or never get her party's nomination for re-election.

Times are tough, and people need someone to blame. We the people are NEVER going to blame ourselves, so we blame immigrants, the government -- whoever looks like an easy target.

Real solutions to this problem can be found, but we're not looking for them. Ideology trumps rationality. We want sound bite solutions.

:o  Seems to me the original question was about the closing of parks in AZ not the illegal immigration issue. And only three people from AZ answered.

A simple Google search will answer the question.

So, would like to hear from some AZ'ers for a first hand account of what it is really like, not what the media is feeding me......

And, boy, isn't that fence just doing its job?

I have locked this because it is still being used to air views from those outside of AZ. The question was about AZ'ers and their view!
