help for those with typing fumble fingers

Postby nevadatear » Thu Aug 19, 2010 9:03 am

Some of you may know I injured my thumb which has dramatically decreased my typing skills so I started looking for speech recognition software. Euerka I am so excited I have discovered with help from everyone that word 2003 and newer versions have a built in speech recognition program . So I got myself a microphone, and in doing some practice , and looks like I'm almost right back up to speed . And it spells better than I do. For those of us with typing issues or spelling issues I suggest you check out your word processing program. After you train the program, it can be available in other programs , where there is text typing for example, right here on the forum, or in an e-mail program . It takes some learning , and training of the program but if you're a fumble fingers like me now , you can make your posts way more legible for everybody else . Only cost for me me was the cost of a headphone microphone for less than twenty bucks :D it is located on the tools tab in Word. You can contact me if you want more information .

I use the Mister Ed pencil-in-the-mouth method.
