Making one page password accessable

Postby Guest » Wed Jan 18, 2006 11:18 am

Any script writers out there?.... (I think that's the only way to do this)
I want to make a page on the Pamplin site accessable only by password.

My web host has a control panel for my site where I can password protect any folder/s and also restricts search engines from indexing. I have about a dozen pages in in the (Private) folder including the guestbook text files.

Thanks Big D,
I looked at bg's conrol panel and I did see something like that, but wasn't sure, I clicked on the folder but nothing happened... Decided I should keep my hands off before "trying" anything else.
I want to make the roster page password accessable.
I did some searching on the net and see that you can add html script to the links that take you to that page, which are supposed to give me the password setup I'm after, but html and scripts are a bit above my knowledge of this stuff...

Problem Solved

bg,
You Da Man!!! :applause:  :applause:

bg made the Roster page on the Pamplin website password access only.
We are starting to get registrations from people not on this forum. Since they don't have a T&TTT handle or username, I felt it was best to keep the roster page out of public view.
Anyone already registered, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the username and password to access the page.
Let me know if you want to change the name of what's shown for your party's name, now that the page is protected...
