Andrews New Year

Postby robfisher » Wed Dec 29, 2010 12:11 pm

Just a quick update and a lot of thankyous for those who wish to know. Since my son's loss of his hand he is doing well. He did have 4 different surgeries in all to get the infection whipped. But he flew through each one with a positive attitude. Now he he beginning to look forward, where will the new year take him.

Andrew does not belong to this forum but he did read (along with my whole extended family) all the nice posts from everyone and was lifted by each. Thank you all for your love. We received phone calls and emails from all over the country caring for us. We got a real lift from a turkey soup recipe dedicated to him(thanks Dean). Haven't smoked a turkey yet but it's on the to-do list.

I still say this family is the greatest. God bless each and every one of you for your prayers and you love.

Happy new year.

Rob, Cynthia, Andrew and family

Glad to hear that Andrew is doing better and is "out of the woods" with that infection. It sounds like he is a conqueror of obstacles. Good for him!

Rob, I'm glad you posted an update. I was thinking about Andrew last night and was going to drop you a PM to check on him and your family. Such a tragic thing to happen to a young person but then again, he is young and has a loving family support system.

Give Andrew a hug from me please and tell him he will always be in my thoughts!

 It is always nice to read about an over-comer and Andrew certainly is one. And like any family we are proud of him.

We have cold weather moving in on us, took some of that soup out of the freezer and had it for supper tonight.
