Updating the master closet (house)

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Postby bc toys » Wed Jan 19, 2011 10:16 am

Mark don't know what a lady(Cindi) needs with so many shoes 7 days of dress shoes 7 days of snikers and 7 days of house shoes 21 pairs, never fig. that out. 7 days and 50 dresses (paints suites) = to many. Camping cloths 3paints 3 shirts (1 for each day going to camp) If I've not wore it in a yr its gone (give to homeless) but you did a really great job on the closet build. Nice wood work you did.

 Okay, it's all beautiful and you did a great job of figuring out which of those boxes of closet stuff went where; but, we're missing one more picture. We need the completed 'after' picture with the clothes and shoes put back in so we can really see the difference.

I don't know why she needs that many shoes either. I have have 10 pairs and that's too many. She said she had her spring and summer shoes and then she had her fall and winter shoes. AND then there are the dress up shoes. She does have a thing for shoes but if that's the worst thing about her then I'm pretty lucky.

I'm working on it Sharon. I have all my stuff in there but Cindi is taking her time getting her stuff in there. As soon as she does, I'll post a picture.

Mark - In my years on this planet - i have developed a theory about women(and what male hasn't). Basically there are two types of Women - Shoe women and Purse women (there maybe more - but I won't go there). A shoe woman has a lot of shoes - A pair for any occasion you can think of - often buying the same shoe, but a different color to match an outfit. A purse woman is the same way but with purses. Be thankful you have just only a shoe woman - I have both! :(

No, no, no...I have both also. I think she has a matching purse to go along with most of her shoes

Don't get me wrong, it's not the expense I'm worried about. Cindi is very good and gets most on sale or in thrift stores. It's the storage factor that gets me. All that stuff has to go somewhere (and be accessible). :(

The shoe thing is simple: clothes may fit or not as weight and circumstances fluctuate, but shoes always fit. No tight zippers or buttons to make you feel guilty or sad or neurotic. No backtalk. No BS. They just fit. It's easy to love them and want as many as possible.

Cool closet, by the way. Nice work.
