The special delivery - Video to make you smile.

The narrative in this video is minimal, but in Afrikaans and Sotho (the language in Lesotho)

South Africans have a lot of place to ride, and one of the more challenging places would be the backroads of LESOTHO, a mountain Kingdom.

Last year these three mates did a ride, and were caught out by the weather, setting up camp, after setting up camp they asked the local landowner for permission, which was given, they were also received with open arms by the lady at the end of the video.

So they took some pics of her and her kids.

This year, amidst more rain, they returned to take her a framed photograph as a thank you by "Special Delivery"

Take a look, it will reignite your faith in mankind, and also make you grin as a deskbound offroader as they get into and out of some wet spots.

Thanks Sharon, I like sharing this sort of stuff, most of us are not one dimensional people.

Shadow Catcher, unfortunately, even people in Africa (and I mean South Africa) are unaware.

I live in the UK, and travel when I can, however, my wife (who is British) and I are aware that even on this little island, there is so much we do not know or ever see.
So we make a concious effort to travel locally as much as possible, and will leave the country only once a year, or maybe twice if you include Europe.

People in the Western world often do not realise that those people in the video only have that round room as home to a whole family.
Not through being lazy, useless or any other typically western accusation, but due to the way the world has developed over time, and lack of opportunities to work and earn a decent living.

I am happy with my cozy cosseted life, but I do admire anyone who can make do with so little, yet, still be hospitable, generous, and have a smile on their faces.

More people should look at these videos, which is why I posted them onto various sites where I go.

Looks like the locals got a good show. I can only imagine how funny it looked for people to struggle with a huge machine when walking is a lot easier..

I try to remember that my definition of poverty is gauged by my surrounding and cultures. A person living under a bridge, especially in winter might love that one room. And I really love the colorful clothing!
