You share a philosophy with many, many other guitar players. When you're ready, fling something our way.

In the mean time, you're inspiring. I shared your story with a few people in my office today. One of my editors commented that he suddenly felt the need to live his life a little more fully.

Thanks for that post Jack! Reminds me of my father; He lost his right arm just below the elbow when he was 16yrs old, in 1929. That man could do more with one hand than most folks I knew could do with two & he always 'drummed' into us kids, "live each day as fully as you can, tomorrow may not come." He LIVED, & I've tried to emulate him for 70yrs now. You are blessed to have the attitude you do & I salute you!

Thank you to everyone that has responded. It is pretty humbling to think that so many people from so many places care.

I showed my wife this thread and she was amazed that "even people from Finland" responded.

I had posted this same thread on our church forum and for those interested Linda added a response there, more info on the day of the accident and such. Here is a link to that. http://www.new-life-for.us/Forum/showthread.php?tid=138

Again thank you to everyone, I have gotten so much help and inspiration here that it is gratifying to have something to give back.

I guess it is offically 31 years and counting now.

Another year has gone by and all I can see are the great things I would have missed.

I had the opprotunity to camp with some fellow TD&TTT folks, took the TTT to South Dakota, was best man at our son's wedding and played at their reception, gave my permission for a great young man to marry our daughter (maybe in January) and just spent the year enjoying life.
Not every minute of everyday but better than 50/50 I would say.

Thanks once more to everyone here and hopefully we will all get together down the road.
