They had added on a two story section, using stumps for the foundation...and I will say that it was a good example of why we should (and do) have building codes. They didn't do it to code. The wiring was scary. It had extension cords wired to regular wiring. Anyway, to my point.

When I first looked at this property, I had been told it had a mobile home on it.
I couldn't find it. Later, I found out I was in the right place. The trailer was encased in cedar and looked like a house. The owners worked at a cedar mill.

It looked nice, from the outside and from a distance. It had a covered porch along the whole front and a deck. But close up, you could see that no upkeep had been done and things were rotted.

It was cute, at one time.

Hmm so the point was that I could do a wood wrap around exterior right? I have seen that done it is a cool look. I do like the accessibility how it is now though and hey, my metal siding is stamped with a wood grain pattern so that helps right? I think it does. I might think about something like that once I get the deck built and then I could plank that side of the place. Interesting idea to put on the back burner!

PS: My place was built in 1982 long after the aluminum wiring issues that plagued trailers and site built homes. Sounds like the ne you saw we pretty jerry rigged!

Thanks for the ideas
Thomas
