I already donated $100. Does that mean I get 100 tickets?

Mark, Cyndi and I will talk about at Beavers Bend. I didn't have the quilt finished when you put in the money!! I'm thinking we can make a deal.
Are you guys going to be on the team??

Cindy, thanks for all your work in helping with the cancer run. I wish we could be there to help but not possible this year. I am a surviver but I lost most of my Mothers family to cancer. I know animals aren't included in this but I just lost my dog of 11 years to cancer. I just sent in my donation, not much but I know every little bit helps.

We will see you this week end.

Wow! I can't believe we have sold tickets to people from so far away. I even had one guy ask how much it would cost to make him one in a different color. I don't know how much a quilt is worth. How much would you all think I should charge?

What quilts are worth and what the public is willing to pay are two very different things! If you look at the cost of fabric (now over $10 yard), and your labor time, it will be VERY expensive. Even at minimum wage rates. My last quilt I am still working on (a king size) was about $175 for materials alone. I have put in probably 40 hours in it, and am just starting to quilt it. Even at $5 an hour, that is over $200 just for labor. That is why I make quilts cause I love to, not to sell. 8)

Might ask Doug H. to chime in here, since he owns a quilt shop, what going rate for a commissioned quilt would be.

Very nice quilt by the way, the winner will get a find addition to their Teardrop!

This is REALLY late but I thought I would let anyone know that Larry from Arkansas (Razorback) won the quilt. It is gracing his tiny trailer now. Maybe I will make another one for next year. Who knows. ;)
