I have to tell this story....4 1/2 years ago my brother had Stage 4 colorectal cancer surgery. He survived very well, counts his blessings every day and loves his two grandsons who have been born since then.
Anyway, after his youngest grandson's 1st birthday party last Monday, my brother became very ill. He couldn't keep anything in his stomach, chills, fever--he was sick!!!!
So we finally got him to the hospital where he's been since last Wednesday. He has not eaten since last Monday....
So anyway, he didn't have the flu or food poisoning. He had adhesions in his large intestine that literally had his ...ahhhhh..... waste output stopped.
So he had laparoscopy surgery this afternoon and the surgeon removed more adhesions (scar tissue) than he expected. Everything is fine and now I can say it.....the cancer has not returned, which was a great fear for all of us.
He'll go home in a couple of days, back to work in about 3 weeks and no lifting for about 6 weeks. (Guess who will be cutting his grass for a while???? That's OK, I'll do about anything for my brother.)
Thanks for letting me yell from the mountain top that my brother is OK!!!!
