The best part about it is that he didn't know he was being photographed, and he did it only for the homeless guy....not for the notariety. His interview said he would love to meet the homeless guy again. I think this is definitely one of those "Random Acts of Kindness".

This same article appeared in our local tabloid press yesterday morning on this side of the world. An obviously heart-warming & encouraging act of humanity in the face the constant barrage of dealing with crime, & the detritus that the seedier side of our communities give up for these hard working people in uniform. The article implied the Officer had only been in the job for 2.5 years. My sincere hope is that he doesn't get jaded as the years of his career progress. But then, he has displayed, and started the right steps for a rewarding journey. Long may it continue!
