Gage,

I was just telling my 13 year old daughter about this Friday, I remember as a kid going to Macy's in Detriot and seeing all the displays, it was a magical time.

I come form a town of 6,000. This year the chamber of commerce has a store front decorating contest with a $300 prize. The decorated store fronts went from 2-3 to almost every one more like 10-12 . It really spiced up the downtown. Santa and Jesus would be proud.

Yes I too remember those windows when we as wild eyed kids could hardly wait for mom and dad to take us downtown to see them.

What ever happened to those days? ..................simple WALMART happened.........
