My niece in Tok, Alaska has this young moose hanging out in her back yard.

She's really cute but I wonder why she's hanging around there. (From the picture, I think it might be a she.) Maybe her mother died or she got separated from her or there's a pack of wolves in the woods or....? Is your niece feeding her or is there some grass peeking through the snow or...? The poor baby.

    Eric, It was funny to see. The feed store was out of straw, so I bought hay for the dogs instead. Big mistake. Moose don't go for straw, but they love hay which is really not good for their digestion in winter. I had to clean it all up & throw it away. They even got into the rest of the bale under the lean-to! :lol:
