I am so fed up with the politics of this country, I'm considering never to vote again!!!
I hate the way politicians have become so corupt, it seems like the last days of Rome to me.
I'm fed up with the way propositions are written and portrayed to the public... Totally disguised and or turned around, voting yes really means no, voting no really means yes.
I recieved over a dozen automated voter solictitation calls today and my phone number is suposedly on a do not call list... a law that came about from the last major election. :x
I am so looking forward to this election being OVER!!!!

 And mean spirited too

My computer has been logged on since the calling started. Hard to get thrugh.

You need a law degree to be sure what you are voting for and how much it will cost you. All a gift from your international corporate overlords.

I have to go out and vote. We have a minimum wage increase I am in favor of that won't pass without a bunch of votes.

In MO you vote for taxes so you get to tell the politicians no.
Become informed---then vote. It is the participation they fear.

:phew: When I saw that subject line I thought mebbe you had decided to not finish your TearDrop. :D What a relief, finding it was only political angst. After tomorrow hopefully they will lay off begging for money, slandering each other, and lying for a few days. I voted early the other day and had to use an electronic machine, very intimidating experience, those things gotta go.

I voted against all the mud slinging negative politicians. It's my way of getting even. Danny

Dean, for several years I've been saying we are the Modern Romans. And we are heading in the same direction Rome went. Nothing lasts forever. Those that think it does are fools.

I suspect our founding fathers would be ashamed of what our government has become.

I live in one of the congressional districts that might change from Republican to Democrat this time around, you don’t want to know how may calls we are getting. My postal carrier must be out with a hernia from all the ads. Most of them are from the tree-hugging environmentalist, they must have clearcut a large rain forest… Now time to find my sample ballot, hopefully one in English… :x :x :x

Some may not appreciate what I wrote and what I expressed, but I tell yaa... Those phone calls got me all jacked up today!!!
I think I'm gonna let the machines take all my calls from now on.
I know we're not to discuss politics here, but I'm just shaking my head in disbelief that Prop 87 in California is even on the ballot...
I'm really not wanting to discuss politics, just voicing my desire to disassociate myself from it... Sorry for my rant.

Arne,
I'm ashamed...
This country sure could use a fresh wave of honest, hard working leaders... with character and integrity.

Steve,
No way... That project is my escape from reality.

I guess that's the benefit of living in a state that one party has given up on and the other assumes it'll win.

Course, we get all the TV stations from Chicago so we've had to wallow through all the !@#$ of the Illinois/Chicago politics and we don't even get to place a vote for any of those folks!

Two main thoughts:

1) FactCheck.org is good for a laugh during elections. They do a good job of debunking MANY of the deceptive negative ads out there.

2) Regardless of which side of the aisle you sit on - I expect we'll all be glad when the election is done so we aren't bombarded with BS any more (well... not as much anyway).

I made the mistake of answering the first 4 or 5 early saturday, after that, I just let the machine take over. Dean, I agree with you on the ballot measures, ya gotta be real careful about how they are written.
Is it (the election) over yet?

Nope,
Everyone except me and the abscent Ters, vote tomorrow.
I got a chuckle from the first one a few weeks ago... It was Awnold, letting me how he has verked very hard.
This is nice... they can't call when I'm online and I'm getting ready to go to work, gotta do a night shift tonight at Cal Courts.
D Haz,
Clint's might be one of those ones that you have to listen to the whole recording before hanging up, otherwise the computer will just keep calling.
