My magazine is almost nearing completion

Postby Ira » Wed Dec 27, 2006 5:22 pm

I lied, because I still have about 3 more days of hard work ahead of me, and my body is really feeling it now. Gonna collapse shortly.

I've been at this computer for about 14 hours a day since Christmas day putting the disparate pieces all together, to get it ready to go to the printer next week.

And if I SURVIVE this experience, this is all I have to say:

This publication is going to be my Mona Lisa. My Romeo and Juliet. My pyramids.

And my main concern is what my wife is going to think after all of those hot girls try to have sex with me after reading it.

But seriously folks...

I'm off this week between the holidays, and I wanted to take advantage of this time off to make this dream of mine come true. But I gotta step back and take a break here:

It is COLD for South Florida right now, like 60, so I'm gonna stop right now, head to the supermarket, and buy some BBQ stuff and fire up the grill. And also light up the outdoor fire ring later, buy some marshmallows, and enjoy the cool weather in fornt of a fire.

I have plenty of time to get back to work on my magazine and write about big boobs and small penises later tonight or tomorrow. Because for me, it's no fun writing about small boobs and BIG penises.

Must be a heterosexual thing.

I wanted to have it ready to give to my printer on January 2nd, my first day back at my real job. Depending on their press schedule, I should have the printed copies like 10 days later, after approving the proofs and all. (I'm printing 10,000 copies; 56 pages, all in 4-color.)

This timetable is STILL the plan, but the way things are going, in order for me to continue to live and not have a stroke, I may be a few days late.

When the files finally go to him, I'll post here and ask those who want a copy to PM me with their mailing address.

Elmer--you have no idea:

I have reached depths of depravity here that although hysterical, have STILL reached new depths of depravity. I know that "self-praise stinks," but I am really, really proud of what I'm putting together here.

I have a little bit of a idea...that is why I am not doing it! I give you credit! Besides I don't think I could be entertaining enough for 56 pages.

Ira,
I'm driving down to Orlando next month, I've got to check in on the 21st. Save me a copy. I'll drive down to the Springs to get it!

I'll e-mail you my address. I don't want to miss the inaugural issue. Do you have any idea what that might be worth in 20 years?

Ira, with over 4000 members you could be going international on your first printing… not to mention going broke on shipping. Please put me down for a copy.
Thanks Dan

Added: can you just add an extra copy to Doug’s shipment, it will give me a good excuse to sneak a peek at his latest trailer.

LOOK MY 300th poast :P

3:45PM Thursday, and my wife's starting to worry that I'm gonna drop dead at this keyboard. I;ll be dragging really badly, then all of a sudden, I come up with something that cracks me up and gets me energized again.

Like retouching the cover of a Berenstein Bears book to include a hunter with a gun and renaming it, "The Berenstein Bears Get Shot."

But I gotta tell you:

If it wasn't for Budweiser, I wouldn't have made it this far. I had no idea this first issue would involve so much work. Subsequent issues (God willing) will be much easier, since it will be all formatted already.

Ira, your first international order has just been e-mailed. If you need a hand with postage costs, let me know.

Cheers

No problem, Paul!

Just don't expect to see a "u" in "color" or "flavor."

You don't have any idea on how to spell over there. Taking the Queen's English and altering it to suit your own purposes

What about "aluminium" V "aluminum"
The variations are too many to mention, really 8)

Cheers
