Well, Kerry and I decided we had room for a third in our tear. Here's a pic of our new camping buddy. His name is Ranger.

He's adorable!

Someone dumped another puppy on us last night. Just once I'd like to get ahold of the people who do that. We love our dogs, but 3 is plenty. I just wish people would realize that getting a puppy means committing to taking care of that animal for the next 10-15 years depending on the breed. If you can't commit, don't get one!!!

Any one need a black fuzzy puppy with one white stocking and 2 white toes? He sure looks like he's gonna be a big one.

Won't be long and you'll have one of these.Image

But be careful where you take him. Depending, some people could get upset.

Ranger is one cute camping buddy.

Is he house or TD trained?

Here's our camping buddy, Lucy. And yes she is trained in camping etiqutte. She poops here and there and even in your campsite. So she stays on a leash when we go camping.

Thanks for the good words everyone. We are sure happy to have him. Of course there is a lot of training ahead of us.

Gage - You are right, I'll have to make sure no hotrods are harmed! However if the pup was to "claim" a car, that looks like a pretty good choice!

SmokeyBob - Haven't even set him in the TD yet. As for housebreaking part, he's learning, but I think it will be a while. No doubt he'll always be on a lesh while camping. Lucy's a good looking dog.

cam5e - Good looking Jack you have there!

Loader,

Great looking dog. Is it a Jack Russell? We've got 3 Jacks, and a Italian Greyhound. Jacks are very smart dogs, this one loves to hike with us:

Loader,
My dog appreciates your opinion on his looks. He's a great dog. Jacks are very smart. A bit headstrong at times but great companions.

Ranger is a cute pup. He'll make a great camper.

LOL...glad to hear I'm not the only one who'll need to teach a new camping buddy the ropes when the weather warms up.

The red one is 12, and he's been tent camping and hiking since he was about 8 months old. The spotted (blue roan) is the new girl, a 4y.o. retired show dog who's discovering that she can be beautiful *and* smart--she starts agility training on Saturday. And come warmer weather, she'll learn about camping. 8)
