I Sense A Crash Fest Coming...

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Fri Mar 09, 2007 8:41 pm

Las Vegas... New Track, Higher Banking Equals Way Fast Practice Speeds.
W-W-W-Wellll...
Leave it up to NASCAR...
Not liking those fast practice speeds, they have Goodyear bring a harder tire to the race...
Several drivers have stuffed their cars into the fence during practice and qualifying... One driver was quoated as saying that the tires were so hard, sparks were flying off them...

Dean,
Unless the tires are super ugly, you probably won't see much action at the Vegas track. Been there twice (I'm actually from there) and fell asleep both times. Guess I won't watch this one either rather watch the Jack Lalane juice grinder channel or what ever you call it. Hey, when does the car of tomorrow debut? I want to see the first race with that and see if that turns into a crash fest - way coooool.....

Bristol, is next week(I think) and your right. 'Vegas is usually one of the more boring races...however with a new track and "iron" tires, it might get interesting...maybe........

I always thought Vegas was boring too but after what I was hearing tonight it could be rather interesting. We shall see.
Bristol, now there's a race. Always one of my favorites, no friends or family there, just drive 'em till the wheels fall off. Or the fenders or the doors or.....

I live 40 miles from Bristol , What a money makin plan that is. Almost everyone within 20 miles loves the race , because they make enough off one race to get by for the next 12 months. Notice I said ALMOST...... , But don't ask anyone who has to go to work, or go to the store, Because it's the damedest traffic jam most folks around here has EVER SEEN. I NEVER go in that direction for at least a week before and a week after the race.

Rich....another 100HP and smaller spoilers might make for an interesting event tomorrow...none of the drivers seem too enthused with the idea however...Doug

Yep, could certainly be an interesting if not entertaining race.

At first glance I really thought Burton took him out ( which would have been cool in itself ) but on the replay you could see the reason Busch didn't want to squalk too much. He actually turned into Burton to try and put him in the wall spinning himself out in the process.    I don't think he realized that Burton was already damn near on the wall.
I thought it was funny that they kept talking about brothers finishing 1st and 2nd, saying that they just might do it. I really hope they never do or you'll never hear the end of it.
