I have a confession to make. I suffer bubble oil syndrome. I am the bubble oil that Miriam ( Aunti M ) refers to in her posts, and I keep her busy trying to keep me level. Having B.O.S. is not an easy thing. Like all organic compounds, I am effected by heat, cold, pressure, violent changes of state, such as shaking or dropping, loud noises and excitement.
I started out as small bubble in a lightweight oil. Growing up can have its effects. Your oil becomes thickerand more viscous and your bubble larger
as your sense of balance improves. Sure sometimes you are knocked about and pressure increases and before you know it you are a heavyweight oil. You have now achieved maturity, as far as bubble oil goes, and you are able to maintain a more level outlook. But still the things life throws at you can separate your big bubble into a bunch of little bubbles that just can't get it together. Of course, there are rules for handling bubble oil. You should beware of heat sources, because bubble oil can explode if it gets to hot. If moved to a vertical position and put under pressure, bubble oil can shoot out and make a viscous, sticky mess.
And never shake too hard because your main bubble becomes a bunch of little bubbles and it makes you confused and then it becomes very hard to find level. But if handled slowly and with much care bubble oil serves many useful purposes and can help all find their true level.
We have a self-help program for " Bubble Oilers" as we refer to ourselves.
Instead of a 10 step or a 12 step, self help program, ours is only 3 steps.
When we attend meetings, we all stand and say " I am a bubble oiler and I am out of level." We follow the following three steps:
1. Admitting you have lost your level.
2. Tell all around you what you believe caused it.
3. And confess to having a broken bubble.
But as in all self help programs, we take it one day at a time.
So in the future, if you meet a "Bubble Oiler", tell them to "bubble-up", or
"have a level day."
And to Miriam and all families of bubble oilers, please show them your sympathy, because they need it.
I am a member of the B.O.S.S.U.S., Bubble Oiler Syndrome Society of the U.S. This is a great organization that's motto is no child should ever have to grow up unlevel.
And in honor of this organization, I would like to honor them, by having the name above my avitar, changed from Uncle Mike to B.O.S.S. to honor them.
Thank you for your concern.
Uncle M ( Mike )
