Does anyone else have a Man Cave

Postby len19070 » Sun Mar 30, 2008 10:59 am

We've been having fun with this over on another board and I thought I'd bring it up here.

Happy Trails

Len

They come in all forms and shapes, and there known by many names...The Shed, The garage, Man Cave, Shack in the Back, the Barn. And all sizes, from a corner in the basement to a large building and all points in between.

A place where men can go and be men, where drinking beer is OK, smoking cigars is the norm and the occasional bad word doesn't get you a swat on the back of the head.

And yes, a place where flatulent's are once again "Funny".

A place where Women are not necessarily banned from.....But they will dare not enter.

These are our retreats...Superman had the Fortress of Solitude and I have MY MAN CAVE

Comon MEN show us yours.

Here's my "dog house"

It looks a little more cluttered now, but that's what a shop is for!

Would this qualify as a tiny man cave? (not mine) It's only 8' x 10', or about the size of my shed... :o

You're making me jealous guys. I've always wanted my own workshop, but there's not really room on the postage-stamp sized lots we have here in San Diego. Right now, I just get a tiny corner of the garage for my workbench.

I dream of the corner of a garage - though I have heard there are some sick people who put cars in 'em.

My man-cave is a lot more like a man-hutch, being 10ft long by 4ft wide and that includes the route out the back of my house:

Yeah, I could've tidied it up for the photo..... but I didn't.

You might find more space in North County or out by Lakeside. There's no room in San Diego City limits. One of the benefits from moving away from San Diego is I now have a 1,000 sqft shop. Danny

Well, since my divorce, my whole house is, technically, a man cave.

And Andrew, as a car nut, I find that anyone who owns a garage, and parks the car outside is actually the "sick" person.

There's a bar here in Austin called the "Man Cave". I can't say that I've been there though...

That's cool! My wife and I used to really like that show "Rezoned". We still dream of finding that perfect place to "rezone"; maybe someday. Wife had a friend who bought an old elementary school in a little town between here an San Antonio. He kept his car collection in the gym! Running thru the halls...chewing gum...crazy parties in the library, all without getting into any trouble!
