Anybody Remember Euell Gibbons?...

Postby Dean in Eureka, CA » Sat Feb 21, 2009 8:52 pm

In another thread, on another forum... I Joshed Mike about putting broccoli on his pizza.
He fired right back, about the importance of fiber in the diet, now that we're getting older.
I was "Owned" as they now call it and it got me thinking...
You know, I haven't allways been the "Meat Monger" that several of you personally know about me...
Euell Gibbons used to be my Hero!!!
In fact, I still have a Wild Hickory Nut signed and given to me from Euell Gibbons.
Here's one of his Grape Nut commercials from years ago...

I walked 20 miles (Round trip) to listen to him speak at a local college before I had a license to drive and this was my reward.
I wonder what this would fetch on Ebay?

BTW-That was the only Euell Gibbons Grape Nuts commercial I could find on the internet... My favorite one was when he asked, "Have you ever ate a pine tree?... Well, I have..."

There's not much out there for videos.

I used to love Grape Nuts with whole milk and blue berries.
I think I'll get some on my next trip to thr grocery store.

Thanks,

Rob,
I was wrong in my post above...
It shoulda been, "Ever eat a pine tree?..."
