The Bucket List

Things I hope to do before I die, hence The Bucket List.

1) Circumvent the U.S. with my trailer (ala William Least Heat Moon, 'Blue Highways').

2) Take a burro ride to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

3) See my grandsons grow up.

4) Live long enough to be a burden to my children!

More to come, this is just a start. What's on your list?

I had a great retired couple in my boat who were doing just that. Every stop there were hiring guides to fish with and headed to the east coast from las vegas.. It was a pleasure to share their experiences..fish every day at a different place...

see the birds of paradise mating display in New Guinea

Travel to all the national parks in my tear, in the US and Canada.

spend a month in australia and new zealand

some of my bigger ones;

ride the Pacific crest trail end to end- in one season

see all 50 states at my own speed, not the speed of business

retrace the path that my ancestors took on the Oregon Trail in 1842

see the Austrailian outback

Couldn't Help thought of another one.

I want to drive to Alaska following the same route my Mother and Father did in 1959 when they drove up there to get married.
I'll be pulling a teardrop unlike them, they stopped and camped on the side of the road with out a tent. Now that's hardcore roughing it

Been there, done that..drove the Alaska Hwy back in '69. Used a VW Van, no I'm not a hippie. Camping? Jus' pull off the road at a level spot and start camping. Don't stay too late. Awoke the first morning out from Fairbanks Aug the third to find three inches of snow on the ground! Got out fast.
Would love to do it again with the teardrop.

Pass my General Test for Amateur Radio.

Hi Scott,
Looks familiar.
We took courses at the University of Alaska.
It was great they had some verrrry cheap field trips we took.
Even flew to Barrow and back for forty bucks.
Since they forgot the food the pilot opened the bar and it was a blast.
Have many good memories of the trip and the stay.
