Our first frost tonight

Postby Bigwoods » Mon Sep 28, 2009 8:39 pm

I need to get more trips in. We will have our first frost tonight so I guess fall is really here. Fall camping is nice. It's just getting that first pot of coffee made till the sun warms things up a bit. :)

I would love to just get a camp in for this year! We are supposed to have snow down to 5000-6000 feet on Wednesday. But the weekend should warm up again. And today was in the upper 80's! Go figure?
I cut it three times and it's still too short!!

Going to lower 40's tonight. Any camping that gets done better be soon. Oh and coffee---make an inside door to the galley. 8) Nothing better than that first cup on a cold morning

O here tonight, that would be 32 F for you guys. On a good note, I,ve been working away at my off road camper and tomorrow will put the folding bed/chair in so I might get a couple of nights camping in this week for the first time :D

We're having our first drizzle (light rain) in a very long time. Fall is right around the corner.

A cold front blew through Sunday ending the monsoon and it's so cool tonight that I turned the air conditioner off and opened the windows.

I can satisfy that cool morning fever in July and August! I camp in the mountains, less than an hour away from my home in the valley. Where I camp, it can be in the 80's or 90's in the daytime and in the 30's by morning (underground ice caves and tunnels that never completely thaw). Camping there, it didn't take long to understand why so many people have camping trailers instead of tents!

Frost?? What is that. This past weekend at Spamboree we were hoping it might say under 90  I did not feel like discovering the actual temp but it felt like 100+ most of the time. It did cool off at night and I had a mister that came in very handy.
This was down by San Diego, CA known as the US city as the most perfect year round temps.

High 80's today in good old Ogden, Utah. The high tomorrow is expected to be 53 and the low tomorrow night is expected to be 32. Where is Al Gore when you need him?

Jim,

It got down to 28°. Wife is grumbling because some flowers took a hit. Now I have to find the old ice scraper because I had to do the credit card thing this AM. I guess we know what coming now.

I'm with you ~ wanting to camp just a bit more before the snow flies.

I'm open for a trip somewhere before the snow falls. We have no gatherings in the area in October. Lets get together!
