does everyone name their teardrop?

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

does everyone name their teardrop?

Postby Eaganites » Tue Oct 13, 2009 3:11 pm

The cold in Minnesota has caused me to prefer dreaming of my first teardrop camp out instead of shoveling off the deck. I want to think up a good name for the teardrop we plan on purchasing. I wondered if everyone names theirs and if so how did they come upon the name. :snowstorm: Pat

Seems like most do. If you don't have a name when you start, it will usually come to you sometime during the build. I think it's harder to name one that you purchase versus one that you built with your own blood, sweat and tears.

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

I agree with that! Ours has been called (by others) the "fancy tent" and "the toaster" (wish I had thought to call it the Towster before that one was taken!). We've been calling it Phoebe, but I can't say that's really stuck yet. It was a purchased trailer.

I had to look at a map to see where Frisco was. One of our favorite places to visit is Rockport, TX - at Christmas time. Perhaps next year we will camp with our tear at Goose Island. Your tear is beautiful. Thanks, Pat

hey that is a good one but since I battle to keep the little criters out of our garage - I don't think it would endear my heart to the tear.

I named mine the "Lady Slipper."

The Minni-tow-ta would sure be cute too ~ Or the Minnesnowta !!

Hey ~ we met at the Camp-Inn. I can't wait to see you and your sister in the spring with your new camper !!

I bought mine too and the name just hit me on the long drive home after buying her. You'll find a quiet time when it will just hit you.

Hi Sandy,
yes I remember you, your tear and your Bella. It was good to meet you. I kind of like the mini-tow-tow. Lady Slipper is a great name for a Minnesotan who likes to camp.

We've tried to name ours but just couldn't come up with anything that stuck. We have a 19 ft. Salem as well as our teardrop and tend to refer to them as the BIG CAMPER and the LITTLE CAMPER.

Where did you get it? We didn't get it, we built it!

Dude! We just broke our vow of "no-camping-til-the-TD-is-done" and went to Goose Island last weekend! Check out our pics in the travel pics section. Lotsa fun! <end of thread-jack>
