Minnesota shut down

Postby PKCSPT » Sun Jun 26, 2011 9:16 pm

Minnesota still has not settled the budget. if they shut down there go the state parks which will limit some of my camping. I think all our politicians should go camping and make smores over a nice campfire.

And isn't your Governor busy trying to get a new job? :?

Who knows how long the shutdown will last.
Both our governor and a congresswoman are looking for the same new job.

My summer vacation involves a loop of the Great Lakes. If Minnesota campgrounds are closed, that kind of kills the Lake Superior part of the loop. I hope that they resolve things.

Can't they just fire a bunch of school teachers, and kick a bunch of kids off of Medicaid? That's how they balance the budget here.

I have been watching with horror what is happening in politics and we are in a state where the governor is tied for last place in popularity with Florida, and I am married to a teacher who works very hard to teach her students. Too bad the politicians do not have her level of education.
Ohio has OK ed drilling for gas and oil in the state parks.

Hey...you could live in Calif, we don't have a budget either.....we did pass a bill though...lawmakers don't get paid if they don't get a budget done. They are starting to whine now...they don't have an approved budget and pay is cut...Gee that's tough...

There seems to be a theme here. Except for Slow the rest of us are suffering by the very people that we elected to serve us. But sadly it works the other way. They just serve themselves. Here in Illinois our Governors have 2 terms. One in office and one in prison!. No hair gel in prison Blago!
