What do you want for Christmas

Postby Forrest747 » Wed Dec 14, 2011 12:23 pm

It is the holiday season and the kids asked me what I want for Christmas. So I asked for baltic birch plywood for the roof and front end. My 9 year old promptly told me I am not getting you plywood for Christmas. But its what I really want. I have been good and if TIm Allen can bring a canoe, why cant he bring me plywood.

Was thinking of maybe a joiner or planer, I just dont know.

So what do you want for Christmas.

I'm a bit hard to buy for at Christmas time, I guess. Throughout the year, if I see something I want, I just buy it for myself.

So, I just ask for the same thing every Christmas.....Peace on Earth.

Yes, that is the answer I give every year to the family. I haven't gotten it yet, but those gift cards at my favorite restaurants that I do get will do for the time being. Oh yeah, Lowe's gift cards go a long way, too ;)

You know, I've got pretty much everything I ever wanted. If I didn't know it would hurt her feelings, I'd tell the wife to spend my christmas money on an extra house payment or something.

Instead of spending your holiday gift money buying "stuff" that's mostly made overseas, spend that money on gift certificates for LOCAL merchants and suppliers, like your car mechanic, massage therapist, wood/metal purveyor.

Let's try to keep more money in our communities instead of sending it to China and the like.

My $0.02 worth.

Ralphie, you'll shoot your eye out.

Cheers,

Gus

p.s.- the the BB capacity of the RR Carbine is about 650 BBs!

I want Santa to send his "Organizer Elves" to my garage to clean up the 5 years of neglect that my TTT has endured since the last time I worked on it. Maybe I could get back to work on it then.

All I want for Christmas is for folks to forget this overcommercialized version we now celebrate and remember the real reason for this holiday. Everybody around here calls me "Scrooge", but I really don't want anything to do with what most people think X-mas is about.

Hummmm.....I guess it's about time I bought some PJ's, 'cause that's what Mother used to get me. Thanks, I totally understand, also.
