I can't check out youtube at home.. :( dial up

yeah I know cable.. sat... heck it was only last year I had to read my computor by candle light. :R

I think perhaps quite a few have done it.. but the song is "smoke smoke smoke". Commander Cody's version is good.

I could not find the one by Commander Cody, the one listed is an old 'Winston" (and other cigarettes) commercial.

So where is everyone that belongs to this thread. How come it is us "outsiders" keeping it afloat.

Actually, I think the music was just set to the clips of old cigarette commercials and old clips of people smoking. Sorry, I was listening and not really paying enough attention to the video part of it!

Question

Back on our main computer.. looks like everything is working again however..

When I scroll up or down with the mouse for example on this forum or any other the pages move up or down like a wave and it doesnt seem normal as before..

Is this the internet itself or is this the mouse?

It doesnt look correct when scrolling?

Heiki,

Congratulations on getting the computer back up and runing!! :applause: It is probably a mouse setting. Try going into your control panel and playing with the mouse settings. You might want to make sure that you have all of the current updates too!

PS: What did you decide to do about the old drive and your emails, etc??

Hi Kerry

Its been a long night but the main computer is up and Im not sure what this wave style scrolling is now but other than that Ive got a new Hard Drive and reinstalled Xp again and Im still uncertain about the
email settings.. Had to update the Windows again and that took the longest of time.. :?

I do have the old hard drive and to be honest I havent had a chance to think about it yet.. ;)

Kerry try sending me an email

Do you know if the setting is supposed to be IMAP or Pop3 ?

I was told if the settings had been IMAP the emails would have not been lost..but the setting was pop3 before.. does that have anything to do with
the funny scrolling? Or the settings of the font? They were just huge until I set them...?

Small bugs to work on but Im back on.. :)
