I'm looking at helmet intercoms on ebay. We have that timed run coming up, and I'm the navigator, and Chris is a little on the deaf side. Inevitably, he ends up getting p!$$ed because I try screaming at him to turn here or there and he can't hear me.

I even have a hard time on the tandem.. at 30 mph.. I have a lot of wind noise.. Laurie will often try the same voice as when we are doing 10..We did get a set for the motorcycle last year...

How did they work out? What kind did you get? I see there are $20 ones and on up to $300. I'm leaning towards to $20. My only concern is fitting it inside my helmet. My helmet is not tight, but the padding is very snug. I can't even really wear sunglasses if I wanted to.

I have Edsets.. http://edsets.com/

Our bike has an intercom system build in and he makes a system that just plugs in.

Wind noise on the mikes is a problem.. and we will need a seperate mic- mute.

We wear full face helmets, so I can't imagine that wind noise would be too much of an issue. I'm thinking I'll try a set of cheapos and if they suck then at least I'm not out too much money.
