Welcome back Scott. That's when you know you've wandered long enough, when it feels good to be home again ;)

I had a good visit with Juneaudave in Juneau this morning - he's a really neat guy!

That's cool. I find that very easy to believe. Sounds like you really made the most of your trip.

G'night, Sir Scott. Welcome home. Juneau Dave! What a great way to garnish the trip!

You're a wise man, Shaun... I must say. Unless that's a Louis L'Amour quote...

no, that's an original. I'll admit it may have had a Louis influence of some kind. But mainly just too many miles of wandering ;)

Thought it was yours; just checkin'.

Looks like Ian and I are gonna head up the coast tomorrow and try Sycamore Canyon for a spell. The coastal weather's a bit moist and cloudy w/ lower-than-average temps so a coastal canyon would provide a more pleasant spot to camp than directly on the beach. Just not warm enough currently... and it's just an overnight.

:campfire:

Got the official trailer connector wiring completed today.

Yes, I need to trim those bolt threads... I've already cut some of the bracketry; this thing was a Universal fit. And it's got more steel than it needs, too; I may just swiss-cheese the thing.

8) 8) That sounds like a good time! A little cool coastal weather would be nice about now. Have fun and take pics. We'll expect a full report :D

congrats on the wiring, I know the car gave you a good fight. I like where you mounted the plug socket too.

How's the house coming along? ...and did you say earlier that you have some time off coming up?

yeah, those universals work good but a little trimming makes them look tons better. Not to mention those corners are sharp when in direct unplanned contact with a shin...

we're gaining on it. Back deck is almost done, then the flooring goes down in the dining room & kitchen. After that it's trim work (already painted) and details that always take longer than they should.

Yep, taking all next week off to finish up and spend time with family coming in the end of the wek for the wedding. And after they leave- sleep for about 24 hours straight

Sleepe ye well, goode sir!

If it weren't already past 10PM, I'd run out there right now and lay a cutoff wheel across those bolts. I just remembered I found my die grinder... job's a bit much for a Dremel disc.

Of course when I was fabbing the chassis earlier in June, I had access to all kinds of high-speed metal cutting implementz.

:scratchthinking:

good morning Mandy..

Looking good Chris..

good morning everyone.. :D

mid 50's this morning.

hmm I am not sure what for today. I have lots more raking to do.

I also want to move my old decks [that were where the sunroom is] back to in front of it. I will also build another 8 by 16 footer to go with it. I will probaby eventually replace the two with new. I guess I will look to see if I want it all deeper than 8ft also

We are hosting a mountain bike ride here tonight. So I might go do some more trail work. I did notice the other night.. a tree down to cut up.. a little string trimming.. and mowing in another area..
