So, Who's not camping this 3 day (EDIT) weekend? Recycled

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Us. We've spent the weekend so far hanging tarps over the holes blown through our living room wall from our gas explosion, picking up pieces of siding and pulling down hanging ceiling sheetrock.

Finally got sick of that and went out back and worked on the retaining wall we're rebuilding and the area for an eventual water garden.

Me, I'm just sittin here blowing the 3 day weekend not doing much of anything. Might cook something in one of my DO's later this afternoon. Mary, I like that shot of your monitor, I recognize the photo in the hall of fame up in your left corner. I took that photo of Jan Keller's Camp-Inn at the 12th Dam Gathering in 2005.

Ivan did this to me... its tough getting over the shock, then dealing with cleanup and repair, but it will be over and life will return to normal. Hang in there.

We're not either , had reservations at the State Park in the poconos, but since the Tear is NOT a floatation device we stayed home and chilled....

I didn't do a darn thing today, and tomorrow seems pretty much the same, but, I will be cooking shrimp tomorrow.

We're staying put this weekend, but will be venturing out next Saturday to the mountains. It's still raining up there, so it'll be an interesting time! I just have to build the bonfire a little bigger.

No camping for me either....but I did get my trailer frame put together!!

Hopefully I'll get the floor done tomorrow (if my poor aching back will cooperate, LOL!).

This is what I'm staring at right now:

Lanza and I are cleaning up, 2 old pop up trailers, 2 old slide in truck campers on pallets, 2 old class C motor homes, and an old Holiday Rambler camping trailer, in preperation for the campers coming in within the next couple of weeks. These campers have been empty and ignored since last November. But it wil be fun when the folks come in and actually pay money to stay in them. Others will bring thier own campers and tents. We will have a ball for a couple of months then everybody will leave again and we will be back to TD building time. There is nothing like hosting a campground for a bunch of people who either pretend or actually believe that they are living in the 15th century. A campfire every night, live entertainment from actual entertainers, camaraderie with actual friends, too long unseen. We suffer this with great apreciation for the opportunity to do so. The Escape Pod will just have to wait.........

OMG, what the heck is that breed?

Oz is a natural eared Great Dane...he's a non-standard color, a genetic white (vision/hearing impaired, but HE doesn't know that!)...most people think Danes just come in fawn with cropped ears, but there are a variety of colors, LOL. He's the reason the doors on my TD are going to be XXL...he's 36" at the shoulder and 45"+ total height.

No camping for me. Just work work work. We did take time out to meet Mike, Michele, Trudy and Ray in Springfield MO. Got to be inspired by the great campers too. Got to get mine done. :worship:

Oh yeah, a side trip to Bass Pro Shop, Harbor Freight and to a surplus store that just happened to have a 6 inch foam mattress for $150/ Perfect.
