Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Here's a taste...the cover so far.

Having a little problem with Acrobat Distiller. I put an "x" over the word "in," the red type, but Distiller is screwing up the PDF.

Congrats. Ira. Tell it like it is with you brand of humor and it will be a hit. I think you have what it takes to do both sides of any political issue and get the funny side of both.

I hope it doesn't interfer with your writing here.
Enjoy,

Best of Luck, I know you will do well. I have found myself laughing out

Congratulations Ira!!

I'm sure that you have the sick sense of humor to pull it off. I can't wait to see it. I'd say, "Break a Leg" but I think that's for actors. What's the proper "good luck" phrase for short Jewish publishers?

Ira, you have to make this available online.
And put this on the bottom of each page.

HAH!!!

Thanks for the nice words, guys. I'll make it available in PDF when I'm done. Gonna take my time, because I've been REAL busy in the office, as always, so I'll only be working on it here and there during the week, and on weekends.

That's why I'm looking at a December printing date, for release in January--when everyone's depressed that the holidays are over.

I basically do a clean, "corporate" type of graphic design, so it's fun doing the nutty stuff that shouldn't BE corporate or clean.

And Jim--THANKS FOR THAT LINK. And judging by the part where he's looking for cover models, he probably uses it as a way to pick up chicks!

Ira, please count me in for a copy, or at least, the PDF file via email. I hope I'll be able to contribute something to the mag sometime. Are snowbirds going to be in your reader base? Or are they fair game for humor in the mag?

As you know, I'm a real romantic. And toward that end, in every issue of The Florida Funnies will appear our feature "My Very First Time!"

Yes, fascinating stories about Coral Springers losing their virginity.

Image

You may not be able to read the copy within this post, but for those of you without conservative values who want to read page one of this girl's touching love story, you can try downloading the image and reading it through your Reader, blown up. (I think regular Reader opens JPEGs, but not sure.)

You can purchase page 2 for a dollar.

(Do you think they're going to run me out of town?)
