I've never assumed that anyone parked in a handicapped space needed to be in a wheelchair, but I do assume that you need to have a handicapped parking permit. If you don't I block your car in and call the cops.

I have a handicapped licence tag on my car, the only thing left over from a near fatal motorcycle wreck back in 1984.

I rarely use it anymore because I remember what it was like when I did need it. I still have some nasty arthritis due to that wreck that only hits me every now and then, if during times like this I might use the spots if there are several places open.

As far as the foul language goes, yes I get offended in public when I hear it, private is different but even then in mixed company I don't like it. I was in the Navy also and I have been known to say some nasty stuff.

Cussing in public does offend me, though I just shake my head. Since I now have a 7 month old I really wath my vocabulary because I do not want one of these words slipping out a home and that being her first word that she says. I see no need to use slang when there are words that do not invoke emotion like fornication, feces.

oh there might have been a few bad words said on my part during the construction of the tear. :o

But in public I try to watch what I say.

Even when you have one, people give you a hard time if they don't see a wheelchair. One time, and older couple walked by, the husband saw the permit but the wife didn't. The wife started in on us so the the husband had to do some damage control to save her. I saw what happened so from my perspective, it was funny.

I'm sick of the people that think that it is ok to use strong language in everyday conversation. It shows me how ignorent and inconsederate they are. I feel fortunate that my parents raised me to show more resoect. Where's the soap?

Foul language.... I get offended by it.... especially when I have young kids... I dont like it from adults nor do I want small kids to learn these words..

Its terrible when you hear underaged kids using foul language... It goes to show who these youngsters have learned it from.. At home here sometimes (seldom) it tends to slip out by accident and thinking that my youngest wasnt listening.....UGH.. 30 minutes later.. just like a parrot... he says the sh.. word however in Finnish but it sounds bad enough in our Native language as it would in English....UGH... Now if that isnt embarrassing ....

Same in Public...Little tykes flippin the bird to someone elderly..or every other word is foul... now that is intelligence.....

I was brought up with strict parents... respect also for your elders...was taught..

The soap is somthing Ive never heard of till now  ... dangerous isnt it?

I believe Tolkien summed it up best when describing the speech of Orcs and Trolls: "...without love of words or things; and their language was actually more degraded and filthy than I have shown it. I do not suppose that any will wish for a closer rendering, though models are easy to find. Much the same sort of talk can still be heard among the orc-minded; dreary and repetetive with hatred and contempt, too long removed from good to retain even verbal vigour, save in the ears of those to whom only the squalid sounds strong."

My parents never spoke the way we tried to as teens. My dad decked me for saying Da** and told me if I wanted to speak like a man he would treat me like one. Didn't do that again at home. We got it from the cool kids.

Lifeguard or Dial works real good and never killed anyone. Trick is to use a bar so they don't swallow it. It is considered child abuse in some countrys.

My apologies to anyone offended by my first post, I didn't realize this forum was censured.

On the topic of the language, why is it that you are offended by the words? They are only words and it is society that has put the onus on these words as being "bad". Is the S word really any worse than the word feces?

1. Why are you getting stitched up?

I got cut at work installing a metal stud header.

Miriam C. wrote:I grew up in the sixty's and seventy's. I rarely notice the "F" word till it's in print. Hint HINT.

So Where are the pictures of you getting stitched up. Cause little girls think that word makes them sound tough.

We want to see the blood or remove the ugly word.

I can't show you my finger being stitched but I can show the aftermath. lol
